SEL teaches us ways to increase our social awareness skills, giving us empathy for those of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Learn how SEL helps students expand and diversify their friend group by:

1) Eliminating negative stereotypes about others
2) Learning how they may unconsciously held beliefs
3) Addressing cultural misunderstanding, implicit bias
